To be organized for the first time, Trojan Horse International Film Festival (Festival hereinafter) aims to encourage young and new film makers who are expected to contribute to the development of their national cinemas; to introduce short movies of different cultures to the audience; to improve intercultural communication through films; to motivate the production of short films; to help short films of various genres and themes to reach as many viewers as possible; to build a high-quality platform to allow for discussions about cinema by organizing workshops, interviews, and panels with competent professionals within the framework of a festival; and to contribute to the promotion of Çanakkale as a cultural brand.
There are no restrictions as to the themes and genres in the competition. This year’s organization is to be organized by the Faculty of Communication at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ hereinafter) and Directorate of Gallipoli Historic Site.
The deadline for submission 19th March 2017
No fee is charged for entry.
The festival will be held on 27-28-29 March 2017.
The films selected for the final selection at the International Trojan Short Film Festival are listed below. The first three will be announced after the jury evaluation. During the submission period, around 300 short films (from various categories) were submitted to the festival and the pre-evaluation jury has difficulty to make selection among the highly qualified works. We would like to thank all of you for your valuable interest and participation to our festival.
